France, fils de France, Duke of Anjou (14 June 1672 - 4 November 1672)
was a Fils de France and Duke of Anjou. He was the youngest son of Louis
XIV. Louis François de France was born in June 1672 at the Château de
Saint-Germain-en-Laye outside Paris to Louis XIV of France and his
Habsburg consort Maria Theresa of Spain. He was the couple's third son
and last child. As the second son, he was given the traditional title of
Duke of Anjou, a title that had been previously held by his late older
brother Philippe Charles who died in July 1671.
