Canadian economist and Distinguished Fellow at The Centre for
International Governance Innovation. He was formerly the Senior Deputy
Governor and Chief Operating Officer of the Bank of Canada.Born in St.
Catharines, Ontario, he graduated from Sir Winston Churchill Secondary
School (St. Catharines). Jenkins completed his undergraduate economics
education at The University of Western Ontario with an honours bachelor
of arts degree in economics. He then attended the London School of
Economics and Political Science, where he received a master of science
degree in economics in 1972. In 1982-83, he continued studies in
economics at Princeton University.
