Bruce Bennett is Professor in Film Studies at Lancaster University in the UK. His research is concerned with understanding the cultural and political significance of national and global cinemas, with exploring histories of film and media technology from the 19th century to the present, and with examining the theoretical and practical complexities of teaching film.
Katarzyna Marciniak is Professor of Global and Transnational Media in the Media Arts and Culture Department at Occidental College, USA. She focuses on the aesthetics and politics of transnational visual cultures, particularly on representations of foreignness, immigration, national (un)belonging, and the construction of border zones as sites of contention.
