Kashi Ram Sharma (1937-2024) began his journey in Chinese Studies between 1965 and 1967 at the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia. He served as a Professor of Chinese Politics in the Department of Chinese and Japanese Studies at the University of Delhi for nearly two decades. A keen China watcher and a prolific author, he wrote several books and research papers and traveled extensively to deliver lectures on various aspects of China. His most recent publication is The Third Birth of Confucius: Reconstructing the Ancient Chinese Philosophy in Post-Mao China (2022).
