Robin Scofield, native of Austin, Texas was raised in the Dallas area. She has an M.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at Austin where she received the Christopher Morley Poetry Prize. Her poetry was featured in the university's literary magazine, Analecta. She has, since, put down roots in El Paso, where she's lived for nearly twenty-five years, and where she has taught as a migrant scholar, courses ranging from Expository Writing to Rhetoric of the Holocaust. Her literary work has been published in a number of journals including The Paris Review, Western Humanities Review, The Texas Observer, Unlikely Stories, Theology Today, BorderSenses, ONTHEBUS, The 2River View, and The Rio Grande Review, among others. Robin was a finalist for the Newman Poetry Residency, a semifinalist in the River Styx Poetry Contest, and a semifinalist for The University of Arizona Poetry Residency. She also received honorable mention for her chapbook, Looking at Weather (White Eagle Coffee Store Press). Scofield is an active and esteemed participant in The Tumblewords Project; and her award-winning poem "Constructions" was chosen by The El Paso Writers' League (2009). Scofield is an annual participant in the juried San Miguel Poetry Week. Her works in-progress include these poetry collections: Diurnal Disturbances and Flow and Break.
