The biggest threat to democracy is not the government or tyrants, but its unaware citizens whom the Government plays for themselves like puppets. The book is an insight over the events that have drastically reshaped the Indian Democracy in the last few years. Democracy has become such a concept that even countries like North Korea call themselves democracies. The politicians have made themselves believe that the people cannot be trusted with truth and facts, this puts India seriously at risk. For a democracy to function, the government needs to take their citizens seriously, not only those who have voted for them but also who have voted against them. People should be aware of their democratic rights and try to be fully informed. Democracy is under threat when its media turns against it and plays by the rules of the government. When the media becomes loudspeakers for the government, it is on us to be the voice of the people.
