Joan Cooper is a UK born artist and author who has lived in Australia for almost 50 years. She moved with her husband and young children to Australia in her early 20s. Arriving in Perth in 1965, she was a professional cake decorator, and became involved in the WA art scene. Townsville was her next port of call in 1978 where she completed her Diploma in Fine Arts. Rainbow in a Bottle was born from doing research for family history and has been a labour of love and a work in progress for many years.
